The company Mariotti begins its activity in the year 1926: its
founder, Giuseppe Mariotti, devoted himself to the production of
tiles, worked-out components and artistic fittings.
In the 1950's his two sons, Contardo and Elio, entered the management
to support him. Together they developped the artisan company towards
a small-middle sized industrial company and specialised the production
in indoor tiles.
During the1960's the company intensified the export: companies all
around the world became its main customers.
In particular, twenty years later, the international sales have
been concentrated on the enormous demand arriving from the Middle
East market, while the national business was confirmed with supplies
to prestigious enterprises, both private and public, as FIAT, Pirelli,
Michelin, ENEL, FFSS, etc.
That steady rise of the turnover covinced the brothers Contardo
and Elio, who were leading the company in that moment, to transform
it into an Ltd and to increase the number of employees. They also
decided to invest in a new factory equipped with the highest technology
plants in order to enlarge the production and to make it more progressive.
In the 90's, it happened a further generation change: Elio retired,
while two sons of Contardo's, Mario and Isabella, entered the activity.
Until today they have followed the new market trend focusing on
exports towards Europe, Far East and the USA.
